ABDM Compliance Checker for Indian Clinics
Score your clinic's readiness for ABDM in 60 seconds. 8 quick questions, instant score, specific remediation list — for ABHA, HPR, HFR, consent management, and FHIR records.
1. Do you currently store patient records digitally (EMR/EHR) rather than on paper?
ABDM compliance assumes structured digital records that can be shared via consent.
2. Do you collect explicit patient consent before sharing or using medical records?
Required by both ABDM and the DPDP Act, 2023. Consent must be specific, informed, and withdrawable.
3. Is your clinic registered on the Health Facility Registry (HFR)?
Free government registry that issues a unique facility ID. Required to participate in ABDM.
4. Are all doctors at your clinic registered on the Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR)?
Free government registry that issues a unique HPR ID per doctor. Required for issuing ABDM-linked records.
5. Do you currently link patient records to their ABHA health IDs?
ABHA is the patient's 14-digit national health ID. Linking lets records flow across the ecosystem.
6. Are your prescriptions and lab reports issued in FHIR-compatible format?
FHIR is the international structured-record format ABDM uses for interoperability.
7. Is your current clinic management software ABDM-integrated or ABDM-ready?
ABDM compliance is largely a software question — the right platform handles 80% automatically.
8. Do you have a workflow to handle a patient withdrawing or modifying their data-sharing consent?
DPDP Act requires the right to withdraw consent. Your software should support this end-to-end.

Frequently asked questions
What is the ABDM Compliance Checker?
An interactive free tool that asks 8 specific yes/partial/no questions about your clinic's current state across the four ABDM dimensions — ABHA linkage, HPR registration, HFR registration, FHIR records, consent management, ABDM-integrated software, and digital records — and outputs a 0-100 compliance score plus a specific remediation list.
Is the tool free? Do I need to sign up?
Free and no signup. Take the assessment, get the score, and download/share the result. We don't store your answers unless you explicitly submit your email for a follow-up — and that's optional.
What is ABDM?
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is the Government of India's national digital health framework. It defines ABHA health IDs (Ayushman Bharat Health Account), a Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR), a Health Facility Registry (HFR), and FHIR-based health record exchange between providers.
What's the difference between ABHA, HPR, and HFR?
ABHA is the patient's unique 14-digit health ID. HPR is the registry doctors register on. HFR is the registry clinics and hospitals register on. All three are part of the ABDM ecosystem and most clinics need all three to be fully compliant.
What if my score is low?
A low score isn't a problem — it's a roadmap. The tool gives you a specific remediation list with the order to address each gap. Most clinics start with HFR registration (free, ~30 minutes) and grow from there.
