Pathology & Lab

The pathology module manages the complete lab workflow — from test ordering and sample collection to result entry and report delivery. Ideal for in-house labs or standalone pathology centers.

Creating a Test Order

Click "+ New Test" and select the patient. Choose from the test catalog (CBC, Lipid Profile, Thyroid Panel, etc.) or create custom test profiles. The system auto-generates a sample ID and barcode.

Doctors can order tests directly from the prescription or patient profile page

Sample Tracking

Track each sample through its lifecycle: Collected → Processing → Completed. Scan the barcode to update the status. The patient is notified at each stage via WhatsApp.

Generating Reports

Enter test results in the structured form. The system highlights out-of-range values automatically. Click "Generate Report" to create a formatted PDF with your lab's branding and reference ranges.

Delivering Results

Once approved, click "Send to Patient" to deliver the report via WhatsApp PDF. The report is also linked to the patient's medical history and visible to the referring doctor.

Patients can also download reports from their WhatsApp chat history

Important

All lab reports must be verified by a qualified pathologist before release. The system enforces this with mandatory sign-off for compliance.

Tips

Create test packages (e.g., "Full Body Checkup") for commonly ordered combos
Set up reference ranges specific to your lab's equipment and methodology
Use the TAT (Turn Around Time) tracker to monitor lab efficiency
